2020-2021 Piano Guild
PIANO GUILD is a division of the American College of Musicians. There are over 850 audition centers where thousands of students enroll annually in international auditions.
The primary function of this event is to establish definite goals and awards--in noncompetitive auditions--for students of all levels, from the earliest beginner to the gifted prodigy. Students are judged on individual merit, in the areas of accuracy, continuity, phrasing, pedaling, dynamics, rhythm, tempo, tone, interpretation, style, and technique. The purpose is to encourage growth and enjoyment through the study of piano. Upon the completion of a successful PIANO GUILD audition, students are inducted into the National Fraternity of Student Musicians for 1 year.
Congratulations to Elizabeth and Stephen for placing in the SUPERIOR PLUS/Top-Talent Circle Rating for their National Auditions programs. Also, congratulations to our other 14 participants scoring SUPERIOR/Citywide Circle Ratings for their National Auditions and National Duet III programs. We are incredibly proud of you all!
