Born and raised in Athens, Georgia, Temeka Davis was inclined towards the Arts at a very young age.  Singing, dancing, writing, playing the piano and violin became more than just mere past-times for young Temeka – she soon found these various expressions of artistry would define her very essence.

As early as 15 years of age, Temeka embarked on her journey as a music teacher.  She quickly found that her youth contributed to a strong connection with her young students, equally enhancing the relationships established with her older students as well.

The Musical Express was founded and established in the Martinez area in 2000.  Mrs. Temeka Davis started the music studio with a handful of students and her personal philosophy that piano education can be as fun and as creative as a teacher makes it.  Over the years, the studio’s family has grown to include over 70 students and their families, along with a new teacher sharing the same exciting and imaginative aptitude towards music education.
